Warner Bros. Discovery, meet Warner Bros. and Discovery. The media company has officially announced the names and senior leadership teams for after it splits itself in two, with David Zaslav’s streaming and studios business to be called Warner Bros., and Gunnar Weidenfels’ global networks business to be called Discovery Global.
Warner Bros. Discovery Access UK and the Series Mania Institute have selected French screenwriter Julie-Anna Grignon as the winner of their 2025 Writers’ Programme. Grignon, who previously worked on series such as “Week-End Family” for Disney+, “Balthazar” for TF1, and “Endless Night” for Netflix, won €10,000 for series concept.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s originally scrapped Coyote vs. Acme movie will now be released on August 28, 2026, according to an announcement made at San Diego Comic Con 2025.
