The series' first season followed Pratt 's character, a NAVY seal named James Reece, who returns home plagued by traumatic memories of his platoon being ambushed on a covert mission. "Dark Wolf" also features Pratt, but is set seven years in the past, focusing on Taylor Kitsch 's character, named Ben Edwards.

Luke Hemsworth had a "lot of bromance" with Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch. The 44-year-old actor was thrilled to work with the Guardians of the Galaxy star on The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, and praised his co-star as a "very giving actor" who he had a lot of fun with.
