The Las Vegas Sphere will soon screen 1939's "The Wizard of Oz" in a new immersive film experience. Engineers used artificial intelligence "outpainting" to expand the original film frames to fit the immersive space, CBS Sunday Morning reported. "The Wizard of Oz" experience opens to the public on Aug. 28.

Those words were spoken in a recent CBS This Morning interview by James Dolan, the owner of the New York Rangers and the CEO of the Las Vegas Sphere. Dolan was referring to the Sphere’s latest installation, a screening of the beloved 1939 classic “The Wizard of Oz” reimagined as an audience-rattling theatrical event. Shows begin on August 28.
