Accompanied by trainers, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts commenced a mound visit for Ohtani in the bottom of the fourth inning, ultimately pulling Ohtani from the game after three-plus innings. It's unclear if Ohtani was injured, and if so, to what extent.

The Cincinnati Reds hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night, which meant two of the most exciting players in baseball—Shohei Ohtani and Elly De La Cruz—were on the field at the same time. After Ohtani hit a double in the fifth inning the two were able to share a special moment at second base,

"Dodgers say Shohei Ohtani exited his pitching outing with cramps," Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reported. This was just Ohtani's seventh appearance as a pitcher with the Dodgers after working his way back from surgery.
