A shooting in Northern Ireland has left a woman and two children dead and a man seriously wounded. Police have not indicated a motive but a local assembly member described it as a domestic incident.

A mother and her two children have been killed in a shooting in County Fermanagh. The victims of the gun attack in Maguiresbridge were a boy, a girl and a woman in her 40s. A man - who is a member of the same household - is being treated for serious injuries at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) named the three victims in the incident in Maguiresbridge on Wednesday as Vanessa Whyte, 45, a veterinary surgeon originally from Co Clare, her daughter Sara Rutledge, 13, and son James Rutledge, 14.
