The federal government is slashing tolls on the Confederation Bridge and lowering ferry fares in Eastern Canada, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced while in Prince Edward Island on Monday.

Confederation Bridge, ferry tolls going down as of Aug. 1

The toll to cross the Confederation Bridge is going down to a flat $20 rate per vehicle. It is currently $50.25 for regular passenger vehicles.
