BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) — Thailand and Cambodia reaffirmed their shaky ceasefire violation after days of fighting along their border, as China stepped into negotiate with the two countries.

At least 38 people have been killed in fighting linked to a century-old dispute over the countries’ shared border.

The talks between commanders on both sides were seen as a crucial test of whether the cease-fire deal reached on Monday would result in a lasting peace.
