With the MLB trade deadline coming Thursday, members of the Worcester Red Sox shared their thoughts on having rumors about certain deals swirl around their team.

Boston is reportedly trying to acquire one of the best starting pitchers on the trade market, as The Athletic's Jim Bowden reported that a handful of teams, including the Red Sox, are calling the Twins about ace pitcher Joe Ryan at an "annoying level".

The Athletic released its 10 bold predictions on Tuesday, and has the Red Sox acquiring Yandy Díaz from the Tampa Bay Rays. Díaz would not only fill the first base role, but he’d also be a right-handed bat in a left-handed-heavy Boston lineup. The 33-year-old is batting .283 with 18 home runs, 62 RBI and a .469 slugging percentage.

The Boston Red Sox would have to "eat most if not all of" a major contract to make room for the Philadelphia Phillies slugger.

The Twins are reportedly receiving constant trade calls before the deadline from teams including the Yankees and Red Sox.
