On July 1, 2025, Mojang announced that they will be bringing the copper golem to Minecraft in their fall game drop.

UPDATE: As expected, Minecraft is getting a raft of new features to make use of the copper resource — including the long-awaited debut of copper golems.

As part of Minecraft's third update drop of the year Mojang is bringing back a revamped version of the littlest guy. Instead of pushing buttons the copper golem will act as a base organiser.

The Copper Golem might be familiar to longtime Minecraft fans, as it was one of the candidates in the 2021 Mob Vote. The Mob Vote helped to decide a new Mob type to be added in a future update.

The Minecraft summer update 2025 is around the corner, and players cannot wait to get their hands on the array of new features and items that are set to make their way to the game.
