A man involved in a police incident in Ligonier, Westmoreland County, on Saturday evening died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the county district attorney's office said Sunday. The Westmoreland County Detective Bureau was called out to assist Ligonier Valley police in investigating a report of shots fired Saturday evening in the area of Route 30 and Baywood Road.
