San Francisco traded right-handed relief pitcher Tyler Rogers to the New York Mets, The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported, citing a source. In seven seasons with the Giants, Rogers posted an impressive 2.79 ERA with 296 strikeouts and 74 walks in 396 2/3 innings pitched.

Tyler Rogers, who has made more appearances than any other reliever in the majors since 2020, is going from one National League contender to another.

The Mets are “actively” shopping starting pitcher Paul Blackburn, according to Will Sammon and Tim Britton of The Athletic.
