To say Paul Skenes has had an incredible start to his MLB career would be a wild understatement. After an impressive college career at LSU, Skenes, 23, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Skenes is, the Pirates are under real pressure to compete while he's still under contract through 2029. They are caught in a tough position though,
