Authorities in New York City are responding to a report of a shooting at a midtown office building that houses some of the country’s top financial firms and the National Football League.

The gunman reportedly fled to the Park Avenue building that houses NFL headquarters before killing himself on the 33rd floor.

A National Football League employee was seriously injured in a shooting Monday at a midtown Manhattan building that houses the NFL's offices and some of the country's top financial firms, commissioner Roger Goodell said in a memo to employees.
