The 11-year-old girl was attending to chores with her family's chickens outside a home in Malibu, California, when she was attacked by a mountain lion.

A girl was bitten on her arm and received other injuries on her leg and back in a mountain lion attack, according to California wildlife officials.

The girl was near a chicken coop on the property Sunday evening when the cougar attacked her from behind, biting her arm, leg and lower back.
