Ryne Sandberg, a Hall of Fame second baseman who spent nearly all of his playing career with the Cubs, died Monday after a recurrence of cancer.

Ryne Sandberg was a beloved Hall of Fame infielder, a 10-time All-Star who won nine Gold Gloves and an MVP for the Chicago Cubs (and one season for the Philadelphia Phillies) in a 16-year career.
