Monday was the second day of the World Junior Summer Showcase to help determine the rosters for the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship, to be held in Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota, from Dec. 26-Jan. 5.
London Knights' No. 1 centre out for Canada world junior summer showcase
The London Knights’ No. 1 centre will not take part in the world junior summer showcase this week. Sam O’Reilly, who helped lead the back-to-back Ontario Hockey League champs to the Memorial Cup title in June, is on a list of NHL first-rounders invited by Hockey Canada who won’t take part in on-ice activities at the event in Minneapolis, Minn.
