Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez had a CT scan and an MRI on Tuesday on his right hand and both came back negative, according to reports. Steve Gilbert, the Diamondbacks’ beat reporter for MLB.com, and Bob Nightengale of MLB.com reported that there were no breaks in Suarez’s hand.

When a player is absent from a starting lineup with the trade deadline looming, the assumption by fans is that the player is about to be on the move. That latter part may be true for the Arizona Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez, but that's not why he's out of the lineup on Tuesday night in Detroit.
