Russia says it will drop its self-imposed ban on nuclear-capable intermediate-range missiles in response to US deployments, raising fears of a new arms race.

The Kremlin warned Monday against “nuclear rhetoric” after President Trump repositioned two nuclear submarines because of what he called “foolish and inflammatory statements” by former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.

Days after President Donald Trump said he deployed nuclear submarines ‘in the region’ of Russia, the Kremlin has issued a warning to the world. Trump said nuclear submarines are near Russia after previous threats from officials in the country.
