At least 18 people have died after a bus overturned before falling down a 164-foot ravine in Peru.

A bus carrying 66 passengers overturned in the Andes mountains of central Peru, killing 18 people and injuring 24 others, according to the Regional Health Directorate of Junin.

At least 15 people died and 30 others were injured Friday when a bus plunged into a ravine in Peru’s central Andean region of Hunin, according to health authorities. According to radio station RPP, more than 60 people were on board the bus, which went off the road in a winding area and fell into a cliff about 50 meters deep.
