Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 60-year-old woman in Medford Township. April Chmielinski was last seen yesterday in the area of Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, the department said in a Facebook post. The police department is conducting a missing person investigation.

A body found near a creek in the village of Mattawan Friday afternoon may be that of a person recently reported missing. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday, July 25, that is investigating the discovery of a deceased individual found that same day in Mattawan.

Deputies were fairly certain that the man's body they found was the same man that had been reported missing by his nephew a day prior.

Authorities said the victims include Amanda Lloyd, 40, of Rockwall, Texas; and Lindsay Bashan, 33, of Parkland, Florida.

Later, the Mattawan Police Department confirmed the body belonged to a person whom the Sheriff's Office had previously put out a missing person report on. The body was discovered near Main Street in Mattawan, the area was blocked off while first responders cleared the scene.
