Canada condemns Israel over humanitarian crisis in Gaza
Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday accused the Israeli government of failing to prevent a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza and of violating international law by denying aid.
The prime minister’s statement is the latest sign of rising international alarm over the starvation and deaths of civilians in the besieged Palestinian territory.
Ottawa, SANA- Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney called Israel’s denial of humanitarian aid in Gaza, where children are dying from starvation caused by the Israeli blockade, a violation of international law.
Dozens of countries met at the United Nations on Monday to work toward a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, a goal Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand and Prime Minister Mark Carney stood firmly behind.
