A procession of cruisers guided Phillip Wagner to a North Ridgeville funeral home, a day after the Lorain patrolman died in an attack on police officers.

Police Officer Brent Payne, who was shot in Lorain while on a lunch break with fellow officers, was released from the hospital on Saturday with a police procession.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 30 at Rocket Arena in downtown Cleveland. Wagner's family said the services are "for the family, and fellow officers."
