NHL mascots receive their fair share of appreciation for the work they do all year round to build the atmosphere during games and help with marketing, but after a recent scary incident, the appreciation should increase.

A brown bear charged the Seattle Kraken's mascot, Buoy, and forward John Hayden during a promotional fly-fishing trip in Alaska in June.

The team was filming "experiential content” of Buoy and Kraken forward John Hayden in the scenic Alaskan wilderness, when the bear gave the team some different content than they would’ve expected.
