Judge has hit 36 home runs this season but the Yankees have been struggling badly of late. An injury to their star man comes at the worst possible team.

Judge likely won’t throw for 10 to 14 days, but the two-time American League MVP has no acute damage to his ulnar collateral ligament.

According to manager Aaron Boone, the Yankees star will be placed on the injured list after being diagnosed with a flexor strain in his right elbow. Judge was sent for imaging earlier Saturday and was found not to have suffered any damage to his UCL by Yankees team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad.
