Texas right-hander Jon Gray won in his return from a fractured right forearm, throwing two scoreless innings in relief in the Rangers' 2-1 victory over the Athletics on Wednesday night.

Jonah Heim hit a looping fly ball that dropped between two fielders in shallow left field, scoring Wyatt Langford from first base, and the Texas Rangers beat the Athletics 2-1 on Wednesday night for a sweep.

To make room for Gray on the 40-man roster, the Rangers designated Luke Jackson for assignment. Though he’d pitched well lately, Jackson had a 4.11 ERA, highest of any of the leverage relievers. Long man Caleb Boushley is now the only reliever with an ERA above four.
