As the Dallas Cowboys continue to slow-play contract talks with Micah Parsons, NFL analyst Mike Florio believes the organization is still coming out ahead. With Parsons entering the final year of his deal and attending camp on a hold-in approach, the front office, led by owner Jerry Jones, has yet to agree to an extension with its defensive star.

Parsons and team owner Jerry Jones met in the offseason and discussed the parameters of a deal. Jones thought a potential deal had been worked out. The pass rusher told Jones to contact his agent. Jones doesn’t speak to agents, however, Adam Prasifka, the senior director of salary cap/player contracts, has spoken to Mulugheta.
