Following an investigation of what was believed to have been two stabbings Thursday evening, the Calgary Police Service determined only one stabbing had occurred.

Calgary police are investigating a stabbing that took place near 260 61st Avenue S.W. Saturday afternoon. Shortly after 2 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault with a weapon behind the building.

It happened near Charles Street East and Yonge Street at around 8 a.m., police said in a post on social media. Toronto paramedics said one victim was transported to hospital with minor injuries. The suspect has been described by police as a white male with a ponytail who was wearing black track pants.
