By Marissa Davison BIRMINGHAM, England (Reuters) -Thousands of heavy metal fans lined the streets of Birmingham on Wednesday for the funeral procession of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who died earlier this month at the age of 76.

The city of Birmingham announced that Ozzy Osbourne — who died at 76 on Tuesday, July 22 — will be honored with a funeral procession in his hometown on Wednesday, July 30. The Black Sabbath frontman died two weeks after his final performance.

An emotional Sharon Osbourne, who was married to the musician for 43 years, laid flowers at the growing makeshift memorial around the Black Sabbath Bridge at the centre of the procession featuring a bench with life-size cut-outs of the band’s four founding members — Osbourne, Terry (Geezer) Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward.
