A Southwest Airlines flight plunged mid-air on Friday to avoid colliding with another aircraft while en route to Las Vegas, injuring two flight attendants.

A Southwest Airlines flight dropped several hundred feet in a matter of seconds to avoid a midair collision, after the Federal Aviation Administration said pilots were alerted to another aircraft's presence in the area.

Passengers aboard a Southwest flight leaving Burbank, California, have spoken out after their plane rapidly descended after takeoff, resulting in two flight attendants being treated for injuries.
