Google has created a relational database for its cloud-hosted App Engine application development and hosting platform, a much-requested addition, the company said on Thursday.

Google Cloud has announced extended support for end-of-life (EOL) Cloud SQL MySQL and PostgreSQL versions, aiming to help users maintain database operations and plan upgrades more efficiently.

Google's new features include Gemini in BigQuery and Looker to help users with data engineering and analysis.
