Marvel returned to box office form with The Fantastic Four reboot thanks to stronger-than-expected sales, but star Pedro Pascal has been engulfed in controversy over 'creepy' behavior.

(WNDU) - Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” opened in theaters over the weekend to strong box office numbers and critical reception. At last check, the film grossed $118 million domestically and $100 million internationally for a global box office of $218 million opening weekend.

It's Marvel's best opening of the year by far. After Marvel's first two cinema releases of 2025 ( Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*) performed below expectations at the box office, the studio really needed a hit – and it looks like The Fantastic Four: First Steps has come up trumps.
