The Chicago Cubs announced Monday that Major League Baseball legend and Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg has died at the age of 65 after a battle with cancer. Sandberg was initially diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer in January 2024,

Lou Cella, who created all of the Cubs statues outside Wrigley Field, said he'll be eternally grateful to the Cubs.
