AKRON, Ohio (WKRC) - An Ohio teenager was arrested after he allegedly shot an Uber driver six times, nearly killing her.
According to the release, a second man, injured and covered in blood, returned to the home on Circle Drive on an electric bike. Medina Police detained the man, identified as 33-year-old David J. Oberacker of Medina, and recovered a 9mm handgun. Oberacker was taken to the hospital and later arrested.
The shooting happened at about 10:15 p.m. on Friday at the parking lot of the Marriot Hotel at 50 N. Martingale Road, Schaumburg police said. Police responded to the call of a woman shot. She was taken to Lutheran General Hospital where she later died. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, Schaumburg police said.
