Over 100,000 Kia vehicles were recalled for a potential window trim hazard. Kia said the issue can be resolved by getting a replacement window trim.

The recall affects 91,000 vehicles in the U.S., and 22,000 vehicles in Canada Hyundai and Kia have announced a recall of over 100,000 2023-2024 vehicles in North America over a fire risk.

The recall also included nearly 63,000 Kia EV 6 vehicles from 2022 through 2024. Kia did not respond to a request on how many vehicles were affected in Canada.

That previous recall affected 113 cars in Canada, while this new update recalls another, um, two, as well as 215 more cars in the U.S.; the recall warns of a possible loss of steering control.

Vehicles covered by the Kia recall include 2010 through 2013 Forte compact cars and 2011 through 2013 Optima midsize cars. Also covered are Optima Hybrid and Sedona minivans from 2011 and 2012.
