Georgia Republican Mike Collins on Monday joined the field challenging Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff in the state the GOP has named as their top target to add a Senate seat in 2026.

Georgia Congressman Mike Collins from Jackson entered the race, becoming the second Peach State Republican in Congress to announce a bid. He joins Savannah-area Congressman Buddy Carter, and those two may not be the last to declare a run on the GOP side.
