It's officially hurricane season, and that means keeping a closer eye on the weather this time of year, especially if you live in Hawaii. Fox Weather on Monday reported that the National Hurricane Center upgraded Iona from a tropical storm after forming Sunday night south of Hawaii to a Category 1

Iona is expected to move westward and south of the Hawaiian Islands. No direct impact is expected. Iona is currently a Category 1 and is lying 895 miles southeast of Honolulu.

Iona emerged on Sunday from a tropical depression and was about 1,440 kilometres southeast of Honolulu, the US National Hurricane Centre in Miami said.View on euronews
