Bryce Mitchell and Muslim Salikhov were among the big winners on the preliminary card Saturday at a UFC Fight Night event in Abu Dhabi.

Bryce Mitchell picked up an important win in his bantamweight debut after outgrappling Said Nurmagomedov for the better part of three rounds at UFC Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Things didn’t start out great for Mitchell after he got clubbed with a couple of stiff punches and then ate a knee right up the middle that sent him down to the canvas.

In classic Bryce Mitchell form, he garnered loud boos from the UFC Abu Dhabi crowd as he brandished a USA flag, before sprinting to the octagon for his first fight since coming down in weight. His rival had a more balanced walkout, but got a solid reception from the fans in the Etihad Arena.
