Gemini, the company's increasingly capable AI chatbot, is getting a proactive makeover with a handy new feature called Scheduled Actions. It's essentially your digital butler, now with a calendar.

Google Gemini’s app has a new Scheduled Actions feature to assign recurring tasks. Gemini will complete the tasks automatically at the chosen times, similar to ChatGPT's Tasks feature.

It ended up taking far longer than a nonreasoning model would spend on one task. Kate Olszewska, who works on evaluating Gemini models at DeepMind, says Google’s models can also get stuck in loops.
